AC Shadows Reveals Surprising AoT Crossover for Holiday Season
In a unexpected crossover event that breaks traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Uncovered
According to the official release, "An unusual confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of forbidden rituals and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret cult.
The adventure focuses on "bizarre tests and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to several items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
