Automobiles in German City Found Covered with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Authorities mentioned they were alerted by a man who discovered a automobile in Hanau covered with reddish substance

Around 50 automobiles have been marked with what seems to be blood from a person in the Germany's city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.

Vehicles, building surfaces and mailboxes were marked, occasionally with swastikas, they stated in a statement.

Law enforcement state they were contacted during the night on Wednesday, when a man noticed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued liquid.

The fluid had been applied in the form of a Nazi symbol, they added.

Police then found numerous other smeared cars and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation prohibiting the visible presentation of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement say initial examinations indicate the liquid was most likely human bodily fluid.

"There is still no lead as to its origin; officials are currently not aware of any injuries in association with the event," they commented.

Municipal representatives said they were working "to unravel the case" and have requested to the community for information.

An important representative commented the attack left him stunned and required to be resolved promptly.

"This act affects the center of Hanau and reopens the pain of the right-wing violent incident in 2020," he wrote on social media, referring to the murder of nine people by a assailant aiming at people of immigrant origin in February 2020.
